Mind-Body Therapy for Anxiety
There’s more to your story than worry.
Anxiety Tells a Story of Resilience
But you can put some of this heavy burden down.
You might not remember a time when your body felt truly calm—and that’s not a personal failing. It’s a nervous system response, shaped by the many systems, patterns, and experiences you’ve lived through: family, culture, trauma, capitalism.
You might not call it anxiety.
Maybe it’s overthinking, needing to be in control, or never quite feeling settled.
Maybe your mind won’t stop, even when your body’s exhausted.
Maybe it looks like showing up for everyone else before yourself, trying to get it right all the time, or holding it all together so nothing slips through the cracks.
In therapy, we’ll slow down and listen.
We’ll explore what your anxiety is protecting, what it’s asking for, and what’s possible when you’re met with care instead of pressure. Together, we’ll begin the work of reconnecting with your nervous system—gently, respectfully, and at your own pace.
What I’ve Learned From Listening
I’ve learned that anxiety doesn’t always feel like panic—it often shows up as self-doubt, perfectionism, or the inability to rest without guilt.
I’ve also learned how hard it is to live in a world that rewards urgency, disconnection, and performance. Many of the people I work with have spent years being “the reliable one,” “the responsible one,” or “the strong one.” I’ve listened to those patterns in my own body, too.
I hold deep respect for the effort it takes just to make it through the day with that much on your shoulders. Your nervous system has been trying to protect you. Therapy is where we learn how to thank it—and gently ask it to rest.
